GAIA ADVENTURES FOR WOMEN
AN INVITATION TO LOVE YOUR LIFE

NEW: GAIA Adventures
has just launched their new line, PRINCESS
ADVENTURES. Princess
Adventures is filling a unique need for life balance among women
who work hard and play hard. This also marks the first time GAIA
combines physical activity in combination with a pampering final
to each day.
Catherine D’Aoust,
President of GAIA Adventures asked her clients this question
after completion of the 2007 Grand Canyon adventure: "What
do women need to enhance their life?" Given the option,
women prefer hard challenges followed by pampering and luxurious
end-of-day indulgences, she heard from her clients.
"The reason is simple," D'Aoust says. "It's
a smart use of money and time with high levels of accomplishment.
Not everyone is physically ready to backpack, or has sufficient
time to train for it."
It's a dream come true. Princess Adventures brings
women together, sharing and connecting their spirit and the world
around them, in ancient, wildly exotic and strikingly beautiful
places.
It's not about fitness anymore: You can travel
light and fast and enjoy the trip. Clients will not be lugging
around that heavy 40 to 50 pounds backpack on these adventures.
Princess Adventures is for the everyday woman
- the professional, the urban mother, the boomer - who always
wanted to hike in the Grand Canyon or on the West Coast Trail.
The trip is geared for "luxury" with overnights at
famous bed and breakfasts like the Soul Creek Lodge in Port Renfrew
and Sooke Harbour House in Sooke, and enjoying wonderful locally
prepared gourmet food.
"And don't think these adventures are merely
pamper clubs," says D'Aoust. "It's lonely at the top,
and it's healthy to be in the company of women who think big."
Members are selected for their willingness to
share their experience and for their strength of character. One
of the major benefits is a cross-fertilization of strengths.
Some of the best challenges come from women who aren't locked
into historical ways of thinking.
Women can choose pre-defined itineraries but
also build their own customized hikes by selecting individual
segments, as shown below:
